Beer, Burgers, and Big Rocks
With a local Beerwerks Trail as exciting as the Appalachian Trail, the possible combinations of brews and summits are almost endless. Head to Waynesboro’s three breweries for award-winning beers and tantalizing cooking. Try the locally sourced and totally unique Southern Pleasure Burger at Stable Craft Brewing’s agri-pub, piled high with spicy plum chutney, pimento cheese, and applewood smoked bacon. If soft pretzels with beer cheese are more your style, head over to Nobos Kitchen, located inside the Seven Arrows taproom for their Bavarian-style pretzels with house-made pepper and hops beer cheese. Looking for something a bit more exotic? Hops Kitchen, located at Basic City Beer Company, has you covered with mouth-watering chicken satay or Food Network famous nachos. The breweries aren’t the only ones with great food. E & J’s Deli Pub serves up a mean steak burger made from sirloin ground in house along with a thirst-quenching selection of tap beers.
