Central Virginia Textile Artists is a small group of textile artists that have met as a group for about 6 years. The artists meet monthly to share ideas and goals, update progress on current work and discuss designs for future projects. The group works in a variety of weaving structures such as tapestry and various multiple harness loom techniques using various mixed media in combination with the weaving in wool, cotton, tercel and silk.

The history of their weaving origins and inspirations are quite diverse. The shared common goal is to continue the exploration of textiles, study designs and techniques that keep the group energized and challenged.

Exhibiting artists: Klaus Anselm, Meredith Bennett, Laurie Duxbury, Joan Griffin, Jan Russell, and Ann Vonnegut.
