Even though the holiday season looks a little different this year, there are still safe ways to catch "that holiday feeling." Cozy up with your closest loved ones and explore some familiar and some new traditions in Waynesboro!



Catch a Show


This time of year, music takes center stage at Waynesboro’s historic Wayne Theatre. Looking for something the whole family will enjoy? Head to the Wayne Theatre on Friday, December 11th at 7:30 pm for a festive evening filled with local performers singing a variety of your favorite holiday songs. If your tastes lean more traditional, The Isaacs, a bluegrass Southern gospel music group will be in town for two performances on Saturday, December 19th at 2 pm and 7 pm. For the ultimate Christmas classic, come enjoy the Wayne's unique rendition of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol either Friday, December 18th at 7:30 pm or Sunday, December 20th at 3 pm. A handful of actors will bring dozens of characters to life in this "live 1940s radio broadcast" performance!

Get a jump start on your shopping at Shenandoah Valley Art Center's Winter Market (November 13th-January 8th). You’ll find hand-crafted items, exquisite jewelry, unique pottery, and more, all made by local, independent artists.



Explore more of downtown for the perfect gifts for everyone on your shopping list! Just down the street, Twice As Nice, a wildly popular upscale consignment store, with everything from home goods to clothing. Looking for something truly unique and a little out of the ordinary? Try some other shops downtown, such as Shenandoah Hemp Supply and Pyramid. Select merchants will be staying open until 7 pm December 3rd and 10th, with specials and treats, to accomodate holiday shoppers. Participating restaurants will also be offering drink and food specials.


Catch ALL of the Holiday Lights this Season 

Load up household members in the car, and set out to soak up 'That Holiday Feeling' along a special Decorations Trail in Waynesboro. Check back for a map of the houses and businesses that will be decorated so that you can see all of the best light displays in town. This program will run from Friday, December 4-Sunday, December 20, and lights will be lit at least each day from 6-8 pm.


You're not going to want to miss this extraordinary light show turned North Pole extravaganza! Creative Works Farm's Christmas Wonderland will take place two weekends in December this year (Dec 4-5, 11-12, each evening from 5:00-8:00 PM). You'll find a stunning musical light show, Santa's workshop (with a visit from Santa himself!), cookies & hot chocolate, Mrs. Claus decorating gingerbread men, Christmas ornament making, and animals in the barn before you embark on a wagon ride! Get your tickets today, before they sell out, as tickets will be timed and more limited this year to ensure social distancing and proper safety procedures are followed. Masks will be required indoors.
