Sparkling wine and potato chips? No, we’re not crazy… Champagne’s bubbles are known to interact splendidly with fatty, salty foods. And what better example of fat and salt is there than potato chips? Valley Road will explore this pairing sensation by comparing Méthode Champenoise wines from France and the US; ‘Tank’ sparkling wines such as Cava vs. Cremant sparkling wines from Europe; and our own Fête and Joie sparkling wines. We’ll even compare different potato chips to see which pairs best with each wine – Lay’s? Route 11? Utz?
