Featured will be American and allied military tableaus from the Jamestown militia to the present, including uniformed reenactors, weaponry, equipment, tentage, rations & vehicles. This year’s special theme is “Blackjack Pershing Presents True Stories from the Great War.” Throughout the event, there will also be blank firing of period weapons & short tactical demonstrations. There is no charge to attend. The AAHG is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about America’s rich military history. The Paddle the Park program allows for the rental of both solo and tandem kayaks for use in Ridgeview Park. Kayaks are rented on hour increments on a first come first served basis on Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the pool season beginning June 2. Register and pay at the pool house and get and return equipment riverside at the kayak tent.

The Waynesboro Generals play in the Valley Baseball League, a summer baseball league founded in 1897 that plays in cities and towns in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
The Valley League became an NCAA-sanctioned league in 1961. The league adopted the use of wooden bats in 1993.
The VBL is funded in part by a grant from Major League Baseball and is a member of the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball, a national affiliation of summer leagues.
The league has produced well over 1,000 professional baseball players, including a record 79 former players drafted in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft in 2008.
The Waynesboro Generals play their home games at Kate Collins Field at Kate Collins Middle School, 1625 Ivy Street, Waynesboro, VA.
The Waynesboro Generals ballpark is dog-friendly.
